IWEG’s instructors are experts within the wine & spirits trade.  All are highly qualified professionals with a desire to pass along their knowledge of, and passion for the glorious grape.

IWEG offers its courses in a number of locations in southern Ontario, as well as the Home Study format for long distance learners.

IWEG Course Summaries

The Independent Wine Education Guild offers 5 levels of study.  All levels are prepared and graded by the WSET in England, recognized worldwide as the pre-eminent wine and spirit educational institute.  Upon successful completion of courses and examinations, students receive the internationally respected professional Certificate or Diploma from the WSET.

IWEG has been certified by Employment & Immigration Canada as an educational institution under section 60(f) of the Income Tax Act.  Once a student is registered for a session, withdrawals are only accepted upon receipt of written notification at the IWEG office.  Refund of tuition fees, less a $50.00 administration fee is available for withdrawal 10 days or more prior to the start of the classes. The administration fee increases to $100.00 for withdrawal less than 10 days prior to the first class.  No refund of tuition fees is possible once classes have commenced.
