Examinations
are prepared and marked in the U.K. and students who pass receive Certificates
and Diplomas from WINE AND SPIRIT EDUCATION TRUST. The TRUST is recognized
world wide as a Wine and Spirit educational institute.
The GUILD'S instructors are drawn from the ranks of the trade, and most
have completed their Diploma level of education. All are highly qualified
professionals with a desire to pass along their knowledge of and passion
for the glorious grape.
In addition, the Guild offers the INTERMEDIATE CERTIFICATE and ADVANCED
CERTIFICATE courses in a Home Study program. These are only available
for people living outside the GTA or anyone unable to attend in class
sessions.
The guild has been certified by Employment and Immigration Canada as
an educational institution under section 60(f) of the Income
Tax Act.
Once
a student is registered for a session withdrawals are only accepted
upon receipt of written notification at the IWEG office. Refund of tuition
fees, less a $50.00 administration fee is available for withdrawal 10
days or more prior to the start of the classes. The administration fee
increases to $100.00 for withdrawal less than 10 days prior to the first
class. No refund if tuition fees is possible once classes have commenced.
