IWEG is the first wine school in Canada to offer Wines of Chile Academy certification!
Chile is a Viticultural Paradise and is one of the oldest wine producing countries of the new world, with vines first planted in 1548.
Wines of Chile Academy has been created by Wines of Chile to offer structured courses to trade professionals and wine enthusiasts, in order to stimulate and discover the wine history, regions, grape varieties and styles of Chilean Wines.
Official Wines Of Chile Certification is offered at the “Ambassador Level”, covering: a look into Chile; understanding its nature and diversity; wine history; main varieties and regions. A tasting of Chilean wines will also be included to showcase “typicity” of wine regions and varieties. A Certificate of Recognition as a Wines of Chile Ambassador, will be issued by Wines of Chile upon successful completion of a three and a half hour course (including final assessment - passing grade is 80%). Wednesday, May 29th, 2019, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm Ambassador Certification program from the Wines of Chile Academy. 3 hours of training, with a multiple choice exam. A Certificate of Recognition as a Wines of Chile Ambassador, will be issued by Wines of Chile upon successful completion of the course (including final assessment, multiple choice exam - passing grade is 80%,). Study materials and glassware provided. Course delivered by Peter Wearing DipWSET, authorised Wines Of Chile Educator. Please note that all class tastings will follow the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits "Systematic Approach To Tasting".
