Paul Miles, DipWSET - Executive Director 2014
Paul Miles has worked in both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industry for over twenty-five years, specializing in brand strategy, channel and trade marketing, strategic account and distributor management, as well as business development. Highlights in his career include fourteen years with The Coca-Cola Company in various positions of increasing responsibility in Spain and Portugal, reaching General Manager for Coca-Cola Portugal, as well as CEO and board director for a private beer, wine, spirits and soft drink manufacturer operating in Portugal and Africa. Paul's family were also involved in the wine trade, as shareholders of the Madeira Wine Company (MWC) and more recently, have reached an agreement with MWC to revitalize the Miles Madeira brand in Canada.
Paul Miles is a graduate of Bristol University in England and has an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Business School in Scotland. He has also attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD in France. He completed the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits in 2014 ("Pass with Merit"). Paul is a WSET Certified Educator and is also a part-time teacher at Humber College in the Faculty of Business. He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
