Michelle Paris 2013

Michelle’s adventure with wine goes way back; in fact, one of her earliest memories is of a glass of pink champagne. The colour and sparkling bubbles captivated her imagination.

Several years ago she purchased a small vineyard in Argentina and began to produce her own wine (www.mouthwaterwine.com). In 2011, she left the corporate world, where she worked as an investment banker, to pursue her wine passion.

Michelle is a Certified Sommelier through both the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS); a graduate of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Diploma Program as well as a Certified WSET Educator.  She is also an instructor for the CAPS Sommelier Program.

Michelle launched Adventure in Wine (www.adventureinwine.com), a wine events company, in the spring of 2013. Through AIW, Michelle runs tutored tastings in wine and beer and is looking forward to completing her Professional Fromager Certificate so that she can add cheese to the curriculum.

Michelle is a graduate of Queen’s University, holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.  She is fluent in both English and French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
