Roger brings a wealth of education and experience to his current position as a writer/researcher at the LCBO. In addition to a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) from Guelph’s prestigious School of Hospitality, Roger also has an Ontario Teaching Certificate (B.Ed.), is qualified as a chef through Humber College, has completed his WSET Diploma, and is both a Certified Sommelier and a Certified Wine Educator (from WSET and the Society of Wine Educators).
This impressive education has been complemented by experience as a hospitality instructor, chef, wine educator, Sommelier instructor and a Product Consultant with the LCBO. In addition, he was the Grand Award Winner (first place overall) in the second annual Wine Tasting Challenge and more recently came in second place for the same competition.
