2017 Classic Burgundy with the Toronto Vintners Club

On, Tuesday, April 20th at 6:30pm, the Toronto Vintners Club will be virtually exploring great, approachable Burgundy from the 2017 vintage. Although it was just recently released, 2017 Burgundy is an example of a vintage and region that screamed high-quality, approachable wine that became widely available in stores – albeit for a certain period in time.

Guest speaker Peter Wearing, IWEG Diploma Coordinator and co-founder of The Small Winemakers Collection, will guide us on Zoom through wines from the Premier Cru appellations of Savigny Les Beaune, Les Cent Vignes, and Volnay - all beautiful landscapes situated along the southeast-facing limestone ridges of the Cote de Beaune region in Burgundy.

On the day of the tasting, each participant will receive a kit with eight 50mL samples of premium wines from the Toronto Vintners Club's cellar. Pickup and delivery details will be provided after tickets are purchased.

IWEG students are invited to attend the event at the Toronto Vintners Club member rate of $85 (regular $105). To register, check the box for "TVC Member" and write "IWEG Student" in the comment/notes box.
