Peter Wearing - "an absolute gift"

An ode to one of our WSET Diploma Program Coordinators

Many of IWEG's WSET Diploma students are currently studying for their final exams next week. One of these students is Joey Krueger, who contacted IWEG to pass along the following words about IWEG's WSET Diploma Coordinator Peter Wearing, DipWSET:

As I sit in total trepidation, studying my week and weekends away, I thought it poignant to convey this message. Peter Wearing is an absolute gift. He has been the most effective and dedicated teacher our diploma class has had. Surrounded by true legends on this journey, the gifted group of students I have had the pleasure of joining in this pursuit are in awe and are truly inspired by all whom have taken the time to convey what they know.

We have been truly honoured to have had the experience delivered by IWEG. All this to say that Peter has gone above and beyond in his teaching, mentorship (sometimes stress therapy) and overall commitment to the students of IWEG. He is a brilliant and generous teacher with his experience, knowledge and dedication and deserves any and all recognition and honour associated with his efforts.

Thanks so much for being an outstanding model of education for WSET programs and for providing us with the best this city, province and country have to offer! A sincere shout out to everyone who has taught us!  Peter just happens to be the favourite!

We wish the best of luck to Joey and all the WSET Diploma students in their exam studies!

Rosé Made Me Do It

Tuesday, June 18th
6:30pm - 8:30pm

Rosé All Day didn’t happen overnight. Pink wine sales have exploded in recent years in North America. In France, rosé now outsells white wines. But that wasn’t always the case. Dedicated producers once struggled to make the case that the refreshing and refined character of dry rosé was a serious wine style. Join IWEG’s Director of Education Christopher Waters, DipWSET, with special guests such as Shiraz Mottiar, Winemaker at Malivoire for a comparative tasting of local and international styles and a look at how winemaking and marketing styles have evolved to make rosé one of the hottest trends in wine.  Sign up now!
