IWEG's Education Director Julia Rogers Dip WSET shares her views on the new WSET Level 3 Award in Wines:

"I am extremely excited about IWEG’s September launch of the new WSET Level 3, and can’t wait to begin supporting our students and instructors in this new and challenging learning experience.
This completely revised course is not only about recalling details and causal factors that determine the style and quality of key world wines. It is about making sense of how and why wines taste the way they doreflect on where they are from, and understanding change in response to market and trends.
Our new Level 3 graduates will be able to interpret and assess wines in breadth and depth for personal or professional purposes, including giving advice to consumers, making purchasing decisions, training front-line staff, or simply enhancing enjoyment and understanding.
IWEG is dedicated to our students’ success and has designed unique supports for students to assist with this intense and demanding course. A weekly study guide keeps everyone on track. Theory and tasting exam practice is embedded in the curriculum, with exercises and feedback every session. The teaching team consists exclusively ofsubject experts who are also WSET Diploma Graduates and WSET Certified Educators. Our instructors participate in palate alignment and teaching skill development workshops lead by our Master of Wine and Master of Education program directors."

November 10th: Bourgogne Terroir
With the Hospices de Beaune wine auction each November, we thought we would dedicate our November seminar to Bourgogne. Many struggle with the regulations and the villages of the region. December 8th: Anything but Champagne- New World Sparkling
Just in time for the holidays, IWEG will showcase a line up of exclusively new world sparkling, destined to prove that many stand up to if not exceed Champagnes expectations. Curious as to what makes sparkling wine the universal pairing with food?Oyster Boy will be here to shed some light on that.
