Italian Wine Scholar

WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits

WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits is led by IWEG's Education Director and spirits expert Julia RogersDipWSET, with an interactive cocktail lesson by Victoria Walsh, co-author of A Field Guide to Canadian Cocktails! WSET Level 3 Award In Wines is for individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines. The certification is designed to allow students to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the factors that affect wine style, quality and price. French Wine Scholar

Ontario's Brave New Wines

In collaboration with the Wine Council of Ontario, these 4 sessions celebrate local wines, growers and producers. Each class focuses on the wine appellations of Ontario and basic wine education and includes tastings with a number of local winemakers. CAPS @ IWEG: Aroma Seminar

While smell is often associated with memory and emotion, psychology and popular neuroscience won’t teach you to discriminate honeysuckle from hay, much less how to get them in front of your nose.  Drawing on varied perspectives, methods and cultural practices of smell and aroma, this ‘materials-centric' workshop takes an experiential, 'multimodal' and hands-on approach to document, represent and communicate aroma as a form of learning inquiry.Sign up for CAPS @ IWEG: Aroma Seminar
