As we build for the future, we are looking to strengthen our education teams with instructors who can deliver on our vision to be Canada's premier drinks institution for wine, spirits and sake education.

IWEG is looking for new Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) instructors at all levels of WSET qualifications (Levels 1 to 4) for wine, spirits and sake.

If you have WSET qualifications and a passion for teaching adult learners, we want to hear from you!
  • Let us know what WSET qualifications you hold.
  • If you have passed the WSET Certified Educator training program, this is a bonus!
  • Prior teaching experience is highly valued, particularly with adult learners.
  • You are able to work in both a collaborative and team environment and lead a class of adult learners independently.
  • You have a passion for wine, spirits and/or sake education.
  • IWEG is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the wine, spirits and sake community. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.
Please send your CV and a cover letter to Krystenne MacMullin at krystenne@iweg.org by June 30, 2021. Please note that only those submissions that meet our criteria will be contacted for a follow-up interview on Zoom.

Discover the wines of Germany, one bottle at a time!

Each month, in collaboration with Wines of Germany, we will present a featured wine of the month that is available through the LCBO. Purchase the featured wine and practice your tasting skills for a chance to win a Wines of Germany prize package!

This month's wine is the Anselmann Edesheimer Rosengarten Siegerrebe Spätlese 2019 (LCBO#: 910554), made with Siegerrebe, a pink-skinned white-wine grape created in Rheinhessen in 1929 from a crossing of Gewürztraminer and Madeleine Angevine. Dare to try it!

Wines of Germany would like to thank all participants in the challenge this year.

Purchase the Anselmann Edesheimer Rosengarten Siegerrebe Spätlese 2019.

Here’s how to participate:

Uncorked basket auction

Crafting For a Cure presents Uncorked, a wine and gift basket silent auction taking place from June 15th to June 24th in support of two critically important causes: helping make hospital stays more manageable for children and supporting Les Dames d'Escoffier's Ontario’s Scholarship and Bursary program.

Uncorked invites Ontario residents, 19 years of age and older to bid on a wide variety of fantastic items, including wines, spirits, product packages, vacation stays, experiences and so much more!

Wine enthusiasts, craft-lovers or those who embrace the opportunity to give back to the community, will find items to bid on. The event will be completely online, allowing participants to bid for items from the comfort of their own homes.

As an incorporated not-for-profit organization, Les Dames d’Escoffier Ontario is a collective of forward-thinking women who aim to advance and support aspiring professional women in food, beverage, and hospitality as well as to champion critical industry issues. With a focus on philanthropy and education, our Scholarship and Bursary Program is one of our proudest achievements, providing aspiring students in the world of food, beverage, and hospitality with financial assistance and other industry opportunities.

Crafting For a Cure is a registered charity that collaborates with over 100 hospitals worldwide that looks to ensure all children have a positive experience whenever a hospital visit is necessary.
