German Wines: A Closer Look

Live webcast with Master Sommelier, John Szabo and Master of Wine Anne Krebiehl 

Geared for hospitality professionals, members of the media, and wine educators, this masterclass will sure to be entertaining, interactive and informative. On Monday, June 8th from 12:45 pm to 2:15 pm, bring your questions and get ready to enjoy 1.5 hours of wine education and fun as John and Anne team up to lead you on a guided tour and discussion of the latest trends in Germany's quality wine production. Eight wines will be featured, 7 of which are available in limited quantity via private order and consignment channels. 

The first 45 to register within the greater Toronto area will receive the full line up of 8 wines. Don't delay, register today!

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation of receipt via email. A second email will enclose the access link to the webcast and advise if you qualified to receive the wines. Maximum 100 participants.

Show Your Love for South African Wines

Starting May 22, a social media blitz for the spectacular wines of South Africa 

One day each month Wines of South Africa will be running a social media blitz from all of its international offices. Focusing on a different subject each month; content will include a variety of videos sourced from producers as well as other posts and activities.

Upcoming days:
May 22nd: Drink South Africa!
June 20th: Chenin Blanc (this is also #drinkchenin day)
July 24th: Rosé

Future themes will include sustainability, Methode Cap Classique (MCC) and Pinotage.

WSET Level 3 Award in Sake

The course will be delivered in an online "blended" learning format


IWEG is excited to launch the WSET Level 3 Award in Sake Online taught by WSET Certified Sake Educator and Sake Samurai, Michael Tremblay. This advanced level course will be delivered in a "blended" learning format:

  • Six 2-hour synchronous online sessions (live and recorded) on the Zoom platform on Tuesdays, June 9,16, 23 and July 7,14, 21 at 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
